Description
Arbor Ridge Coffee & Culture on May 21 from 1:30-3PM presents Gary Ferris with a recreation of a WWII Radio Program. Relive the songs, letters and excitement and this event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
The “Until It’s Over Over There” broadcasts are dramatic re-creations of shows like Glenn Miller’s “I Sustain the Wings” or Bob Hope’s “Command Performance.” According to author and performer Gary Ferris ... “They are sort of like an historical novel brought to life”. Ferris wrote and produced the shows in the style of these Armed Forces Radio broadcasts after listening to hours and hours of recorded broadcasts. Dressed in a World War II uniform, Ferris assumes the role of a captain in the Army Air Forces Technical Training Command – the same rank and role as Capt. Miller before he left for Europe. Truly a one-man show, Ferris not only hosts the show but he sings all of the song. Please visit his website for more information or to contact him at www.WarStory.US
